About Us

This site has been created as a result of one mothers experience in trying to research the benefits and risks of a caesarean birth. She was surprised by the degree of difficulty she had in finding enough balanced information to help her make an informed choice for her own birth plan.

Following the birth of her baby via a successful caesarean in 2004 she decided to create a website based on all the research that she had conducted.

In order to ensure that the website is both informative and accurate she has had the entire content reviewed by medical professionals:

• 2 midwives with over 15 years of experience
• 1 midwife with 5 years of experience
• 1 newly qualified midwife
• 1 obstetrician
